Apps can be great to support your rehabilitation programme, so we’ve picked out a selection to support your Physiotherapy!
This is a slow motion video analysis app which you can use to compare movements, break them down for analysis or markup to pick out particular areas to focus on. It can be great to see what you’re doing sometimes and this also makes it easy to track progress with you Physio exercises if needed.
There are lots of interval timers out there but we’ve found this free one really easy to use. It’s great for HIIT workouts but we also use it regularly for massed practice in our intensive neuro rehab programmes. You can add high and low intensity periods of practice with rest periods built in for your perfect physio regime.
CanPlan is designed to help breakdown the stages of a task and provide prompts to help the activity to be completed. It can be used for exercises if needed, but we find it most helpful for functional tasks in neuro rehab. You can create a sequence with prompts and schedule it with reminders to ensure the activity is completed.
Physiotec is the platform used at Physio4You to provide high-quality, personalised rehabilitation programmes. The exercises are supported by photos and videos which can be accessed anywhere. This is a great way of carrying your physio programme with you as an alternative to logging on to our client portal.
Metronomes can be really helpful in a vairety of physio settings. The MetroTimer enables you to set a tempo and enable a visual or audible cue. Our physios use this for vestibular physiotherapy exercises, retraining walking and for cognitive tasks. It’s easy to use and has an uncomplicated interface.
